Robert's Bio

Robert Caldwell is the founder of Family Firm Resources, LLC.For nearly a decade he has been the Babcock Family Business Fellow in the Wake Forest University Schools of Business. Robert and his father, Bob, worked together for 15 years in their family owned textile business begun at the end of WWII. From that experience Robert began to understand the positives and negatives of working with family and decided to establish FFR to aid others as they deal with the complexity, conflict and satisfaction of their business and personal relationships.

Robert has consulted, written and spoken on the unique interactions of family systems and business dynamics for nearly two decades. A graduate of Wake Forest Robert earned his M.A. degree from Vermont College of Norwich University in the field of organizational development and psychology. He is certified in Family Mediation and assessments including those of Myers-Briggs, MindScan, Hogan Assessments, and the Management Research Group. He uses these and other tools to assess current personal and relational situations.

He is a member of the Family Firm Institute, has served on the Board of Advisors at Belmont Abbey College, as a director of the First Gaston Foundation, a director of First Union National Bank, and holds the highest District and Council awards bestowed by the Boy Scouts of America. He is an avid musician and the father of two grown children.
